Asher Turns Three!!!

On May 14th Asher turned three! The following Saturday we all went over to Grandma and Granpa Porter's house for a little party. Aunt Jenni made an adorable truck cake for Asher that he loved! Thanks Jenni! Then we had a BBQ and played outside in the sunshine.

Fun Times

Now that Asher is in big boy underwear, it makes for lots of fun. Here he is as Batman. You can see the bat symbol right in the front, and of course we have the cape and mask to go with it. He cracks me up.

Grandma Andersen!

Grandma Andersen came up from Idaho for a visit. We loved having her here and spending time with her. We drove her up to Fairbanks (6 1/2 hour drive) for a friend's wedding and had a great time seeing old friends. We even got to see Denali on the drive back home! It was beautiful. A Day at the Zoo

We took Grandma Andersen to the zoo while she was here visiting. It's always great fun to see caged animals.....but the kids loved it.

Asher's Potty Trained!!!!!

Asher started wearing big boy underwear two weeks ago and he's doing great! Potty training was a breeze because I waited until he was actually ready and wanting to go on the toilet. He loves to wear his new underwear and he'll gladly pull down his pants to show it off, if you ask. Below he is talking to daddy, who was out of town, telling him how he's a big boy now. He then asked daddy if he wanted to see his underwear. He took the phone and, fully believing daddy could see through the phone, showed him his new spiderman underwear. It was too cute.

Yakutat Steelhead

David went to Yakutat on business for two weeks and was able to find a few hours to go out fishing for steelhead. He had a great time and even caught a few fish! They were about 32-35 inch steelhead caught on his homemade flies. He was pretty happy.
