Are those boobs?

Why yes, they are. My sweet mother-in-law, who gave me permission to post this picture, had a partial mastectomy a few weeks ago. (As a disclaimer, I will say that she was on drugs at the time.) Well, in order to celebrate her recovery, I baked her a cake. I got the idea from watching an old show of Roseanne on TV where she was getting a breast reduction because of back problems and her friends made her a cake like this one. And come on, how many times do you have the opportunity to make a cake with breasts on them? So I jumped at the chance. Angela is doing great. She is going in for a second surgery, but they expect a full and successful recovery. Thanks to mammograms, they caught it early!

Bohdan's First Week

Bohdan (pronounced BO-den) is such a sweet little addition to our family. We love having him home with us. My mom has been helping us out the past two weeks and I'm getting so spoiled that I don't think I'll let her leave next week. Sorry dad.
