Arctic Thunder

Way back the end of June we went to the air show (Arctic Thunder) at Elmendorf Air Force Base. We love going and haven't gone since Asher was a wee baby. The show is lots of fun, but this year it was butt cold! And of course we dressed as if it were summer....because it was summer, duh. This global warming thing is really not working out for us up here. But we had a great time, except for the walk back to the car (a little over a mile) when Asher came this close to getting hit by a bus. Details. The show featured all sorts of cool planes doing stunts with parachuters and all. The Thunderbirds were the high light and it was super awesome....all except for the fact that we can't hear as well as we used to. But who cares, we had fun!
Daddy and Asher enjoying the show. I think Asher got the best seat in the house.
planes, duh.
Shira watching the stunts. If you look close you'll see one is upside down right above the other one. Oooooohhh.
It was a spectacular show and the look on Shira's face proves it.

I love the snapshot of Shira. You perfectly captured the wonder of a child. Definitely frame-worthy.
